The Heart Behind Flintastics: Our Journey from a Reactive Dog to a Community for All

If you’d told us ten years ago where this little dog walking business would take us, we probably wouldn’t have believed you. What started as a simple idea—to walk dogs for a living—soon became something far bigger. Flintastics was built on experience, heart, and dogs who needed something different from the norm. It was never just about exercise—it was about understanding.

Bright-eyed and full of joy, Echo, our happy German Shepherd cross was the heart and soul behind our business inspiration.

When we first launched in 2015 as Rugby Woof Pack, we had no idea how deeply our lives were about to change. At the centre of it all was Echo, our beloved, complex, and reactive dog. Echo wasn’t the kind of dog who could thrive in a busy park or cope with crowds. She was the kind of dog who needed patience, space, and safety. And we learned—through trial, error, and tears—what that truly meant.

So we created what didn’t exist for her. A safe, secure field. Enrichment over chaos.

That hands-on, lived experience gave us something you simply can’t fake: understanding, forged through love and hardship. And we carried that forward with every single dog that came through our gates.

Then Flint bounded into our lives. A golden retriever with a golden heart, he brought joy, fun, and a gentle kind of magic. He became the soul of our business, our taste-tester, adventure buddy, and constant companion. Losing him in 2024 broke our hearts—but it also cemented what we do and why we do it.
